Teaching

Alyssa Allgood is a passionate educator, who enjoys working with students in both the private lesson and ensemble setting. She currently works as the Jazz Voice Instructor at the Chicago Academy for the Arts, where she teaches private voice lessons and a vocal jazz class designed to teach students jazz standards, improvisation and performance techniques. Alyssa also teaches at Elmhurst College, where she directs the Blue Vocal Jazz Ensemble.

Alyssa has directed vocal jazz ensembles at Neuqua Valley High School and Oak Park River Forest High School. She has served as a clinician at the Illinois Wesleyan University Jazz Festival, Niles North Vocal Jazz Festival and several Illinois District Vocal Jazz Festivals.

Alyssa is available for clinics, lessons, and workshops.
